The Summit Rack’s Bracket System is designed to accept rain gutter towers, such as those produced by Thule® or Yakima®. This gives you the option to use your preferred rack manufacturer for both your base needs (towers & load bars), as well as any rack accessories for all your outdoor equipment and cargo needs.

What rack towers will work with the Summit Racks Bracket System?
The Summit Rack’s Bracket System will accept both the Thule® Gutter Foot Pack 300 and Yakima® 1A Raingutter towers
*Note – For most applications the standard height Thule® Gutter Foot Pack 300 and Yakima® 1A Raingutter towers are preferred, however, hi-rise towers are available for situations where it is desirable to increase the height of the rack system above the top of the truck bed. For example, to increase truck bed storage capacity, to allow longer items such as kayaks clearance over the truck cab or to provide additional access to the bed cover.
Which load bars should I use?
Load bars are manufacturer specific, so they will need to match the rain gutter towers you’ve selected. The load bars will need to be at least as wide as the outside of the pick-up truck box and can be cut down for a more streamline fit, if desired.
What is the carrying capacity of the rack system?
The carrying capacity of the rack system is based on the load bar rating. Please contact the load bar manufacturer for additional information regarding carrying capacity.
